Remember the butterfly cards I posted a week or so back? Well, I was on a role with the background paper and the butterfly die-cuts. I still have some to use, so they will show up again.
I wanted to make a card in reverse order...make the 3x3 card first and then show you how you can make it into a full size card if you want.

Supplies: Die-cut butterfly; Cuttlebug embossing folder and machine; SU! old olive cardstock; SU! southwestern or aztec corner punch; DCVW background paper (this was the background paper that I really liked, so I wanted to use as much of it as possible. I like how it has some glitter on it as does the butterfly.

Then I mounted all of it on a 3x3 card. From that point, you can add it to a full size card like this:

A simple card that you can make into anything you need for that occasion.

Birthday cupcake - masculine

I bet I could use this card for women as well, but I need some cards for the men in my life.  Keeping with the theme - keeping it simple - I pulled out the two-dimensional cupcakes.  I am determined to use die-cuts that I have in my stash!

I began this card in the spring!  Life became hectic and it was abandoned. I came back to it today and an idea popped into my mind and this is what I came up with.

Supplies I used: DCVW pre-made card.  SU! old olive, sahara sand and chocolate chip cardstock.  I used the SU! scallop punch on the chocolate chip cardstock.  Spellbinders die-cut with my Cuttlebug machine.  You may not be able to see, but I used a scrap piece of scrapbooking paper that looked distressed with chocolate ink.  Then the two-dimensional cupcake.  Stamp:  not sure...it has been a while since I made the base of the card :), but I used chocolate chip ink to stamp the sentiment in.

Thanks for looking.

Birthday bird

I case'd this from a Papercraft magazine cover.  I liked the layout and was able to use the DCVW premade cards I had.  I purchased the die-cut stickers from JoAnne's $1.00 bin.  I think 6 - 8 birds came in a package (which means you will be seeing more of them).  I knew for the price..I could do something with them.

I used the DCVW premade card; a scrapbook background paper I had in my stash; chocolate chip cardstock; and some ivory sheen ribbon. Punches:  I used  SU! large corner rounder and SU! southwestern corner punch,  or was it called aztec corner punch. I cannot remember, but it is a good punch to have around.

Have a good week.  Thanks for looking.

Feeling like Fall

It is beginning to feel like fall where I am at.  It is cool in the evenings and mornings, which make sleeping very nice.  In keeping it simple I had purchased these fall die-cut stickers.  The leaf on the die-cut is really pretty.  I do not think I was able to capture it well with my camera.  Something I will continue to work on.

I used scraps I had, which have been around a while.   I used scrapbook paper as a layer behind the leaf.  I pulled out my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder die-cuts and made the tag.  Then I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder for the script background.

The sentiment stamp is from SU!  I am not sure if it is retired or not.

Have a good weekend.  Thanks for looking.

Butterfly in motion

Today I continue with the butterfly theme. I attempted to case a card, but I cannot remember from where or from whom. By saying this, you know it has been a while since I made this card.

I pulled out the butterfly die-cut sticker, added some "bling" to give flight to the butterfly, and used scraps of paper I already had.

I had fun using my die-cut machine and corner rounder punch as well.

Butterflys

I had purchased a package of butterfly die-cut stickers. They stood out to me for the detail and the hint of glitter on them. I brought out my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder templates and used those two things together to make the background the butterfly is layered on. I am keeping with using my "stash" so I pulled out the patterned paper and ribbon that I have plenty of.

When I began this card it was to be a birthday card. It is a blank card waiting for me to use it however I need it to be, when I need it to be.

Then I had scraps left over. Sometimes with a patterned paper it is hard for me to through it out. I do like to use them and I now make 3x3 cards or a little larger depending on the size of the scrap paper left over.
I used my Cuttlebug again, but this time I used an embossing folder for the background. This will make a nice notecard to attach to a gift, or a thank you note. This is what I came up with:

Congratulations

I needed a quick "congratulations" card and this is what I came up with. I used a shimmery cardstock for the base; patterned paper (there is glitter on this paper that did not come out in the photo); SU! scallop punch; shimmery white ribbon; and a button that I have had in my stash for waaayyy tooo long!

Have a good weekend.

Butterfly

Good morning,

I have been going through my papers in my stamp area and trying to fight off the, "I need to go to the store and look for..., it will go great with this." I admit the "thrill of the hunt" can be energizing, but I need to use what I have.

This is a very simple card. The design was already imprinted and I did not need to add anything to it. I did use the SU! scallop punch to add some design to the side. Then I decided to add ribbon and I was done. I had the background card already (I have had it a while actually. Just trying to figure out what to put with it).

When I put it all together..this is what I came up with:

Taking a break from busyness

Hello stampers and papercrafters out there. I have not posted in so long, actually too long. I have a busy schedule, so I have been looking for ways to make quick and easy cards that I want to send out.
I have to admit that because of my schedule, I have had to buy manufactured cards .  I watched how the cost added up and I knew I had supplies at home to make cards.  I am trying to get back into a routine of making some cards a head of time.

My aunt's birthday is  coming up soon.  I pulled out some supplies I already had and used a quick template.
This is what I came up with:
