Wednesday Update

Good afternoon Stampers!

I am still trying to figure out a schedule of how to get posts up. I suppose I am still on vacation mode and have been a little lazy and taking for granted the time I have.

Today's delay in posting is due to learning how to add things to my blog. If you notice on the side bar, I added the BIG convention announcement of Stampin' Up! partnering with Sizzix. If you click on the picture, you will see a brochure - it includes some of the dies that will be released!

Also, the Decor Elements. SU! announced this a while back, but I was not savvy with the blog and did not know how to post things. I still don't know some things, and have to wiggle things around. I have to learn to be patient with myself and allow myself a learning curve.

At my Open House - Customer Appreciation Day, I have a sample of what the Decor Elements is like. One was included with my Stampin' Success, and I have not applied it to my wall - saving it for the Open House. I can share that my upline, Jan put it on one of her bags, or luggage. Right on a side pocket so now it is customized and easily recognized in airports, gym or anywhere. I have also seen an example where a demo put it on her car. The Decor Elements are vinyl -so easy to apply. At convention, SU! announced their Phase 2 of the Decor Elements, so watch for more designs! Very exciting.
I will have more....SU! is going to have a Recruiting Special beginning in August - the starter kit will be $99 instead of the $199 as usual. Click here to review the brochure. www.stampinup.com/us/documents/US_99_Start_Kit_promo.pdf
There are three different ways you can order the kit: Stamp focused, Scrapbook focused or Decor Elements focused.

Wednesday update

I am still working away, but I wanted to let you know about an exciting thing that Stampin' Up! is going to do now.

Did you know that Stampin' Up! has been an industry leader for several years? Their original, exclusive stamps have earned the prestigious Creating Keepsakes Readers' Choice Award for best rubber stamps eight years in a row!

Stampin' Up has announced that all new stamp sets in the Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog (including new hostess sets) will be die cut for your convenience! Stampin' Up! knows we have enjoyed the flexibility of custom mounting our stamps, and with these die-cut sets, all we will need to do is pop, peel, and place before you begin stamping. If you purchased a stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog, you know how convenient it is to have the stamps die cut already. I know when I receive my order from Stampin' Up! I cannot wait to begin stamping! With the stamps being die cut, I can get to stamping right away! Yahoo! This is also wonderful news for those stampers who have told me some days it is too painful to cut out the rubber stamps because of their carpal tunnel (although they have also commented with the Craft and Rubber scissors that Stampin' Up! sells, this has made it much easier to cut out their stamps).

The thing to remember is only the new stamps will be die cut; sets carried over from the last catalog and those on the dormant list will still require trimming. But, each new set will feature a die cut icon so you and your customers will have no problems identifying die-cut sets.

Wednesday update

Hello,

Just a reminder that the Stampin' Up! retired list is available.

Also, the Stampin' Up! accessories retirement list will be announced on July 21st.

No card post today. I am getting ready for my class this Saturday - Bali Breeze.

Also, I need to clean up my stamp room. Amazing how quickly the stamp table fills up with supplies. The brainstream is flowing and my hands and table cannot keep up! My ideal would be for me to create and the stamp fairies clean up after me.

TaTa for now! Would that be: TTFN?

Wednesday Update

Such news I have received from Stampin' Up! that I am excited to be sharing with you.

First though, I want to thank all of you who took advantage of my limited special with the SU! retirement list. Watch for my next special for the SU! retirement list.

Stampin' Up! announced next year's Sale-A-Bration time. Last year it was just the month of February. One month, and I think it took all of us by surprise. Before that Sale-A-Bration was for two full months, January through February. This year, SU! has announced Sale-A-Bration will be from February through March 2009. Again, two full months! We don't have to scramble this year, and we can already begin to plan for it.

SU! announced yesterday their new product line. I was way off on my guess! SU! is unveiling Decor Elements. It is an extension of the Definitely Decorative line that SU! already offers. Decor Elements is a line of wall art made of vinyl used to decorate your home. The Decor Elements will be offered in images, phrases, and letters. Decorating your home will be easy.
The vinyl art is not new in the home decorating world. I have seen it pictured in home magazines stating it is a cost effective way to decorate and add an element to a room without the permanency - needing to paint over the image to start fresh.

I am excited about this aspect and I am looking forward to being able to see the new brochure SU! is going to share with the Demonstrators this week. As I learn more, I will keep you posted.

Have a good day!
